FreeeeeeBIRD! WOOOO!!!

Yo! What up? I'm baaaaack. It's been a crazy few weeks at work...blah blah blah. Excuses, excuses right? I've been at the Gates of Hell, aka Pier 94. We're dark this weekend and I've got to back on Monday. Boo hoo.

Sooo, yesterday the keyboardist from Lynard Skynard passed away. Rich asked me if we were flying the flags at half mast in the South. Haha.. very funny stupid yankee. This a.m. I got up and drove to my Mama's house (she lives outside of Philly in Bucks County) She and my Step Dad Joe live about an hour and half from us. Well, driving down FREEBIRD (WOOO!!) came on the radio. Now, everyone knows.. I think it may have been proven by science.. that when Freebird comes on the radio, you have to hollar "WOOOOOOO" at the top of your lungs and crank the radio. Listen, I don't make the rules, I just follow them, okay? Then you tolorate the first 2 stanzas of the song and joyfully wait for the part where you "fllllyyyyyyy fllyyyyy freeeee biiiird yeaaaahhh" and then the song goes off into Classic Rocks BEST EVA guitar solo. If you see a SWwwUUEETTT 2000 Saturn with GA plates, a missing side view mirror (hey, pimpin' ain't easy) with some red head playing air guitar.. give the horn a friendly toot. That's me jammin' to Freebird.

I don't think I could ever trust someone that didn't like Freebird. I'm actually pretty certain that if you don't like Freebird you are un-American and hate Jesus.

Birthday Dinner

Saturday night we all went out for my birthday. We had a great dinner at a place called Pino's in Secaucus. This place is UNBELIEVABLE! It's a BYOB (which is always nice with this crowd) and the food is so delicious and so affordable. We had appetizers, dinner and an ice cream cake for desert. We had alot of fun! Thanks guys for all your generous gifts and taking me to dinner ! Love ya!

It's a Miracle!!!

Hey! I know I've been quiet for the past few weeks. It's been crazy busy up here. A friend of mine from work has a friend that is a ferry captain that captured the pictures of above. If you've been under a rock the past few days, a jetliner made a crash landing in the Hudson River on Thursday. What's amazing is that there everyone survived and the damn plane floated. Now, if that isn't an example of a miracle, well, I just don't know what is. IT still blows my mind.

Howdy! This Friday Favorites is brought to you by Cousin Shawn. So without any further ado, behold what makes this weirdo tick!.....

1. I can't stand PWT
2. I am a glutton for punishment
3. I cannot stand the thought of seafood
4. I can't stand to pay for Haircuts, but I can't stand for my hair to get too long

6. My little twin sisters and I share the same birthday
7. I used to have a slight man crush on Jeff Francoeur.... Used to, so let it go
8. I did not own any normal clothes until I began school. I wore baseball uniforms everywhere. (I still wore baseball uniforms to school too, but not quite as often.)
9. Everyone thought that I was going to stay an only child.... I am one of 7?
10. I taught my sister Allie how to slide into bases at the age of four...... She was wearing her team queen Dress
11. I used to love creed before I found out what a crack head Scott Staff really was
12. I gained nearly 85 pounds in my first semester of college
13. I went to college long enough to be a doctor, but oddly enough I tucked tail and ran with only a bachelor's degree
14. I do not like cats
15. I can't stand when folks don't wear undershirts... Dudes that is

18. I have always loved Disney Films, now I have an excuse to sit-down and watch them all the time... Thanks Tayler, Will and J-Bob.
19. My wife calls me "the baby whisperer" I think she has learned a way to make sure that I am the one that gets up with the kids, and makes me feel like it's my calling in life. Hmmm
20. I love soft drinks and sweet tea, but I can't stand to buy one at a restaurant, though I will by beer? It makes no sense to me either.
21. I met my wife at Spondivits.... I bet she wishes she would have let me take the Cab now
22. I have never been called a "Momma's Boy" though we have a great relationship. However, you could definitely slip the occasional Grandma's Boy in there.
23. I am slightly scared of my sister Allie because she hits harder than most of my friends. Thanks to grandma, and maybe some moral issue somewhere, I am not allowed to hit her back.
24. I love being a dad

Rockin' New Year's Eve

Happy New Year! Rich and I did our 3rd annual New Year's Eve tradition of going to Redbank, NJ and seeing Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. This year Leah joined us and we all had a blast. We picked up Leah in Secaucus (you SMELL caucus before you SEE caucus... Gotta give props to Tom Jack for coming up with that one!) and headed down to Redbank. We ate dinner at this FABULOUS place called Buonna Sera. Rich and I are total fatties.. I mean foodies... and so is Leah. We had several appetizers but my favorite was the Goat Cheese wrapped in Prosciutto over basil pesto. (You could wrap Rich's dirty underwear in Prosciutto and it would taste delicious!) Leah and I split Pork Osso Buco and Rich had the special veal chop. We also had 2 bottles of Pinot Grigio and a bottle of champagne.

We left and walked next door to Count Basie Theater to see the concert. The concert was awesome, as usual. I would like to apologize to anyone sitting on the aisle near us. I didn't mean to use your head as a railing for balance. (Isn't it against fire code to have a stupid railing by stairs? Dixie cups of white wine, heels and pretty good buzz do not mix very well.) We stayed in a hotel nearby and came home this afternoon after stopping for a nice brunch. It was a great way for bringing in the New Year!

Sooo, Happy New Year Everyone! And also, thank you Rich for putting up with me and my sister, driving us and pretty much bankrolling the trip. Woo wee!!! Sorry there are no pictures.. I can't hold a camera AND a drink.
